Topic: Basson's Yesterday

Fished Basson's at 1st light yesterday and picked up 3 nice table-fare Reds - clean, healthy, rambunctious fish that showed no signs of blight from the oil gush, or the "black box" dispersant being used to disguise it.  No signs of oil in the marsh there.  Did see a pod of juvenile bottle-nosed dolphins back there where I'd rarely seen them before - maybe they're going where the goin's good(?).  Also spotted an otter in the water up against the marsh grass - no signs of oil on him - definitely an otter, as I saw his face clearly as he "periscoped" up to check me out before he crawled into the marsh grass to hide.  We'll keep our fingers crossed about this area being spared.  Pray for a break as hurricane season peaks.
