I received an email shortly from our friend Mike Arnold.  A friend to many on this board, including myself, Fred Stevenson passed away around 7am this morning at Huntsville Hospital in Alabama.  Fred had a passion for fly fishing bream.  He gave his famous bream program to club meetings for Red Stick and New Orleans.

But most notably, Fred was founder and past-president of the South Eastern Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF).   He made IMMENSE contributions to the council, and in recognition, the Fred Stevenson Scholarship Fund was created in his honor.  He bled FFF, and never missed a Southern or National conclave until recently when health issues arose.  He was instrumental in helping get FFF support for the gill net ban in Louisiana the year it was passed.  He will be greatly missed.

Mike asks that if any of you have pictures of Fred from our old "glory days" (1991-2000) please forward them to him as he would like to put together a memorial article for the upcoming SEC Watermark newsletter.
