A peculiar sequence of events led to my driving all over the spillway today. The water was clear and falling at the pontoon bridge near Henderson -- looked fantastic. The water was stained but still looked good at Lake Fausse Point, at least from what I could see from the boat launch.

Looks like the bite is on at Henderson Lake. I got to talking to a lady in Henderson about fishing, and I asked her if the lake had recovered from Gustav and Ike. She said, "We put 93 bream in the ice chest yesterday. You tell me."
