Topic: Fly Fishing 101 - Saturday, April 17
The Red Stick Fly Fishers will hold their fifth annual "Fly Fishing 101" clinic on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the LDWF Waddill Outdoors Education Center at 4142 Flannery Road in Baton Rouge. The clinic teaches fundamentals of the sport of fly fishing through hands-on sessions in equipment, casting, leaders and knots, fly tying and presentation. Handouts, lunch, and refreshments are provided.
If you have equipment, it is advised you bring it (best to learn on what you own). However, for those who do NOT have equipment, the club has rods and reels available for instruction.
There is no cost for this event, however early registration is required as attendance is limited. Don't hesitate... three of the five sessions filled up prior to the event!
To register for Fly Fishing 101, contact Dan Weber at (225) 767-2405 or by email. For more details, check the Red Stick website at www.rsff.org.
