Topic: Squid Fly.....

I was reading on Fly Fishing in Saltwaters website and came across this really cool and what appears to be a simple squid pattern.

Stephen, that's an interesting fly, but I was disappointed.  I was hoping it was a fly to catch squid, not imitate them.

Catch after you posted your comment I did some reading.  I found that most squid can be caught on jigs.  wasn't really to sure what kind of jigs though.  I did notice that the jigs were from what I was reading straight barb hooks I guess kinda like a spear.  It would make for an interesting fly if it could be matched.
